Main bearing

Main bearing damags are among the most cost-intensive repair measures of a wind turbine due to the related bearing replacement. It is important to receive information on an impending damage early to dispose spare parts and autiting staff on time and thus avoid costly downtimes. By automatically monitoring the processed signals kinematic bearing frequencies can be monitored automatically. Due to the use of high-quality electronics, sensors and signal algorithms you can achieve maximum pre-alert periods on the one hand, on the other hand you can exploit the maximum possible life of the components.

The higher harmonic parts of the bearing kinematics are especially relevant for the damage diagnosis. TÜV Rheinland InterTraffic uses a parameter based on the great number of single harmonics to detect changes sensitively and to track the changes over time.
